Lolland has the most bad payers
Experian, which is behind the RKI register, has published an annual report with figures for 2018, and it appears that Lolland Municipality has the most bad payers in relation to the number of inhabitants.
The chance (or risk) of meeting a bad payer in Lolland Municipality is almost 6 times greater than in Allerød Municipality, according to a list of municipalities in the annual report from Experian, which takes stock of the RKI register's development in 2018. While 9.64% of the inhabitants of Lolland Municipality are registered with one or more payment remarks, this applies "only" to 1.61% of the inhabitants of Allerød Municipality, which is the municipality with the lowest proportion of inhabitants registered in RKI.
The annual report is very detailed and shows figures for both 5 regions and 98 municipalities over 4 years, so you can compare the debt of Danes across municipalities.
In addition, it appears that the age group 31-40 years has the most registrations - and that at the end of 2018, it was specifically people aged 36 years who peaked with 6.74%. There is no breakdown by gender, but in short: If you get a 36-year-old customer from Lolland Municipality, you should probably check with RKI, the Debtor Register or the Debtors List to see if it is a good idea to ask for prepayment.
Key figures from Experian's RKI report 2018:
- 202,727 people are registered in RKI, corresponding to 4.34 percent of the Danish population. This is a decrease from 212,161 persons at the same time last year.
- Danes owe a total of DKK 13.1 billion in non-performing debt.
- Over the past year, the total debt for all RKI registrations in the EU has increased.

- The age group with the highest number of RKI registrations is the 31-40 age group.
